The Smell and Texture of Authenticity
In our shoe workshop, we only use first-class calf leather. The easiest ways to identify genuine leather are the smell test, the press test, and the water test. Genuine leather smells organic, reacts to pressure with tiny wrinkles, and slowly absorbs a drop of water.
